Day Eagle/Night Eagle

To the Native Americans, the eagle is the symbol of spirit and is called the messenger of the sky. They fly higher then any other creature bringing them close to heaven or spirit. Eagles are also known to have the greatest sight and can see further then any other creature. After sunset eagles are almost blind and it is the owl that has the greatest vision. Thus owl is the symbol of spirit in darkness and is called the Night Eagle.
