White Heron

Many species of birds like the blue herons migrate across great distances to find food or return to their traditional nesting areas. It was thought until recently that the endangered white heron was a separate family different from the more plentiful blue heron. During a study it was discovered that white herons are the elders and blue heron becomes white when it ages.
